Weather is warm
Took tour of all the sites
Cabral, Connoni, ICC, Los Ninos
When we don’t travel using public transportation, we ride in a bus owned by the ILAC center. During our travels around the city, we once again notice traffic laws our only suggestions. Stop means go, and 2 lane roads are made into 4. The Dominican system is a Democracy, however laws still differ from the U.S.A. For example Civil Law. Stopped in traffic I look out my window and see a man getting receptively beat in the head by numerous individuals. We find out that the man was on a moto (mo-ped) and had ripped a chain off someone’s neck. In the Dominican republic civilians can punish the criminal until police arrive
Los Ninos is governed by a committee secondary to their frustration that supplies and funding changes with every election year
Orphanage 5 years ago kids were in cages and chained, their was feces and urine everywhere also – government came in and re-did the entire orphanage and is now beautiful, at one time the child had encephalus and ILAC was getting him a doctor for treatment, however the old owner of the company removed the child from the center and took him to another orphanage because a deformed child will get more money

There is an entire room full of equipment that has been donated to Creighton PT
Mass by Father Pat. The 2nd Sunday of Easter. Lit candles and spoke to the group who we dedicate our time to “I dedicate this time to my parent’s who have showed me true happiness comes from giving more than receiving, and to young friends who have passed to early, may their spirit fill me on this Mission.”
